Looking for a BETTER way to live, study or work with your uniquely wired ADHD brain?
ADD Coaching Academy (ADDCA) defines ADHD as a unique brain wiring which requires engaged interest with a clear, purposeful intention in order to activate and access attention so an individual can manage the brain's executive functioning.
The symptoms typically begin in childhood and may persist into adulthood, affecting various aspects of life, including education, work, relationships, and daily functioning.
Common symptoms:
Difficulties with attention: inattention to details and makes careless mistakes
Easily distracted
Losing things such as school supplies
Forgetting to turn in homework
Trouble finishing class work and homework
trouble listeningTrouble following multiple adult commands
difficulty playing quietlyHyperactivity: fidgeting, inability to stay seated, running or climbing excessively, always "on the go"
Impulsivity: talks too much and interrupts or intrudes on others, blurts out answers, impatience
Do any of these sound familiar? Many of us experience this daily, either in our own selves or someone in our household. That’s where ADHD coaching can be helpful.
So, what is ADHD Coaching?
Coaching is a partnership between someone with ADHD traits and an accredited coach that supports their client through an ADHD lens. An ADHD coach uses knowledge, best practices, understanding, and ADHD-friendly skills and tools to facilitate the change the client is looking to achieve. Coaching is a collaborative process where the coach guides and listens with an ADHD understanding, identifies goals, develops strategies and solutions, and overcoming obstacles and challenges.
As thinking-partners, through attentive listening paired with thoughtful questioning, ADHD coaching helps clients create the life they want. The coach's belief is that the client is naturally resourceful and creative. The coach partners with each client to provide insights and support, as the client builds skills and takes action to enhance the quality of their life.
Clients come to coaching for a wide variety of reasons:
Procrastination • Maintaining Focus • Finishing Tasks • Time Management • General Executive Functioning Areas Such as Organization • Lack of Direction • Social Skills • Parenting Challenges • Relationship Troubles • Emotional Regulation • Self Discipline • Self Esteem • Managing Frustration • Adopting Healthy Habits
One thing everyone wants: a deep longing for change in their life and a need to reestablish some balance and action.

Meet Erin
As a mother raising a child with ADHD, I initially found the experience overwhelming and confusing. ADHD was nothing like I had imagined. My desire to learn about ADHD in order to support my child led me to the ADHD community, where I discovered a passion for helping families and individuals navigate their challenges. Coaching has transformed my family, and I believe it can transform yours too!
This passion inspired me to become an ADHD coach. I received my training from the ADD Coaching Academy, an accredited program recognized by the Professional Association of ADHD Coaches (PAAC) and the International Coach Federation (ICF). Additionally, I am a member of Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD), Attention Deficit Disorder Association (ADDA), and the ADHD Coaches Organization (ACO).
"Success is achieved by developing our strengths, not by eliminating our weaknesses".
